There are many beautiful places to walk on the Algarve but one of the prettiest is closest to the apartment - the clifftop walk from Luz to Burgau.
Burgau is the next village west from Luz. The walk, which offers some stunning costal scenery, is about three miles each way. It is easy-to-moderate in its difficulty, with one or two small rocky hills to negotiate.
On arrival at Burgau you are rewarded with a truly beautiful traditional harbour and beach, leading down from old cobbled streets. To refresh you for your return journey there are several bars and cafes, and for the peckish a fabulous, rustic fish restaurant serving all the main local fish varieties.
