Beach and Rock Fishing

More than 200 varieties of fish are to be found in Portuguese waters. Even from the beaches there is a good chance of landing sole, plaice, bream or bass. There is also good fishing from rocks or cliffs, though you are advised to take particular care, as the Atlantic winds can gust, sweeping the unsuspecting into the sea.

Boat Fishing

For boat fishing you can arrange short fishing trips, (up to three or four hours of shallower water fishing) from booths and stands in Praia da Luz, and along the promenade near the Lagos Marina. Generally these only require booking a day or two in advance.

Big Game Fishing

Vilamoura and Portimao are the main centres of big game fishing, where you can join regular organized trips. If you want further detail please get in touch.
